Gazella cuvieri or Cuvier's gazelle is a species of gazelle from North Africa and the Sahara. Its name was given to it in homage to the scientist Georges Cuvier.
The Cuvier's gazelle has a body length of 95 to 115 cm, with horns of 25 to 33 cm and a tail of 10 to 15 cm. The height at the withers of individuals is 60 to 70 cm1 for an adult mass of 15 to 35 kg.
Cuvier's gazelle is currently present in Morocco, Tunisia and northern Algeria, originally from North Africa, from the Atlas region, it has a fairly diverse distribution area since it can also frequent areas of Mediterranean and mountainous clear forests up to 2,600 meters above sea level as well as open arid and desert environments.
