Numidian Coin, 2nd Century BC. J-C

Made mainly of silver, bronze and lead, Numidian currency is devoid of any writing with the exception of rare coins.
It is characterized by revealing drawings and others of lesser significance. One can generally see either effigies or animals on one side.
Some coins feature the legend “Kingdom of Massinissa” on the reverse.
