Zianide Dinar, 14th Century
Due to the geographical position of its capital Tlemcen, the Zianid kingdom played an important role in the economic life of this region.
Its monetary system differed in no way from its Almohad predecessor or its Hafsid and Marinid contemporaries.
Although each State had its own currency, it is difficult, in most cases, to recognize the currency of each of them due to a very great similarity of shapes, dimensions, texts and also an absence of dates.
As for the coins minted, they were similar to those of the Almohad era, that is to say the dinar, the dirham, as well as their units.
