World AIDS Day
Over the past ten years, a scourge has begun to take on worrying proportions for humanity. AIDS, because that is what it is about, is a fatal, transmissible disease with no treatment or vaccine which today affects several million people around the world. This disease affects more and more people every year on all continents, and our country is not immune to this phenomenon.
AIDS, which remains a threat to the reproduction of the human species, is calling into question the existence and the very notion of the family unit. This year, the World Health Organization (WHO) has decided to celebrate World AIDS Day, December 1, 1994, under the theme “AIDS: Protect the Family.”
On this occasion, campaigns were carried out in Algeria to attract the attention of citizens and challenge them on this vital subject. It is important for everyone to be informed about this serious illness, because today, the first means of defense against this scourge remains information.
