Thistle Moth Cynthia cardui
The general color of the thistle worm is fawn with black spots. It migrates from the African Sahel to Scandinavia. It crosses the Sahara through the valley of Wadi Ghir and that of Saoura. However, it multiplies in Algeria over the course of 3 to 5 generations. Its caterpillars feed on thistles, barley, budding wheat and nettles.
