It is a hanging made in the Timimoun region. Dokkali was sold from the 19th century to the Tuareg and all the other surrounding ksour.
It is a long piece, rectangular in shape, woven with wool and cotton.
The decoration consists of two red bands crossing it; these are bordered by a green and yellow border decorated with a series of parallel comb-shaped lines.
The dokkali from the Adrar region is sober: the lines of white cotton are wider, small red and green palmettes line up between them and a wide garnet-colored band divides the hanging in two.
