Tellis des Aurès
The decoration of the Aurès weavings includes several shapes: points, straight or broken lines, squares, triangles and especially diamonds.
Single or compound stripes of varying widths are used to accentuate the division into bands of colored patterns.
Tellis is the name given by the inhabitants of the Aurès regions and throughout the Saharan Atlas to the woven bags that are placed on the back of a beast of burden.
