From the Caprifoliaceae family, these trees are tall from 2 to 10 m with a well-individualized trunk.
Oval leaves (3-4 cm x 2-3 cm) finely pubescent below. Flowers 1.8 cm -2.3 cm, grouped 2 to 4 in the leaf axils.
They exist in the forests, pastures of the high mountains, quite rare in the Aurès above 1600m and very rare in the Djurdjura.
