Pandion haliaetus (Osprey)

It is a large, narrow-winged raptor. It feeds on the products of its fishing in lakes, rivers and bays.
It is a species whose population in the Mediterranean is very threatened and many countries have taken measures for its protection.
In Algeria, it nests on coastal cliffs and is found west of Oran and the far east of Algeria near the Tunisian borders.
