World Rural Women's Day is celebrated on October 15 every year. A daily activist for human rights, rural women, like all other women, have rights guaranteed by international conventions. Deeply imbued with the culture of peace, tolerance and love of work, rural women are always at the forefront for the liberation of their country, resisting with courage and self-sacrifice all forms of violence. She works ardently to combat poverty and meet the challenge of food, agriculture and the economic and social well-being of the rural population.
Rural women make a decisive contribution to agriculture, forestry and fishing. Both dynamic and courageous, rural women have always been creative collaborators in development and find themselves aware of and able to respond to the challenges posed by food security at the dawn of the 21st century.
In Algeria, civil society actively participates in the supervision and promotion of the rural family, thus providing concrete solidarity, faithful to the traditions and customs of Algerian society.
