Telethon 2000
The 2000 Telethon on April 12 and 13 aims to bring together the Algerian people in a great spirit of fraternity around the ancestral values which make them unique and to rediscover a united, united and generous Algeria: the Algeria of harmony.
Through this great celebration of fraternity, everyone will be able to contribute to raise the funds necessary for the reconstruction of educational establishments destroyed by the Aïn Témouchent earthquake on December 22, 1999. A thematic program encompassing the child, the school, solidarity and hope will be structured around cultural events, sports tournaments, exhibitions, artistic galas, exhibitions and special television news. We will also appeal to all those of good will wishing to participate in this laudable work.
Associations, youth centers, cultural centers, scouts, schools, employers and private companies will be particularly solicited. The actions selected are integrated into the entertainment program designed to raise awareness among Algerians through various events supported by local committees and organized non-stop for thirty hours.
