Civil Concord
The Algerian people's attachment to peace and harmony has always been a constant value which has constituted, over the ages, an ideal to which many generations have adhered. Indeed, aware of the multiple virtues of peace, because hardened by the tests of time, Algerian society has always been able to measure and appreciate its true value the ideal of peace and harmony which constitutes an essential condition for the promotion and well-being of citizens.
This is how, drawing on its ancestral values and traditions, the Algerian people knew, whenever destiny demanded it, to fight with determination against the phenomena threatening its unity, its cohesion and its desire to live in peace and harmony.
This culture of peace is present in all aspects of social life and underpins the behavior of the entire national community. It is by drawing on this ancestral culture that, at the call of the President of the Republic, Algerians massively chose peace during the referendum of September 14, 1999.
By this dignified and proud act, the Algerian people gave a broad echo to the program of the President of the Republic which they approved on April 15, 1999, making the message of peace and civil harmony their own.
Reconciled with its benchmarks and regaining its stability, Algeria is redrawing its prospects in terms of development and once again becoming an essential destination internationally. Thus, it responds to the expectations of the people who are becoming more attached every day to the consolidation of the work of peace and harmony and to the realization of their ambitions for progress, development and justice.
