Theniet El Had National Park

Created in 1983, this park is located in the wilaya of Tissemsilt, on the Ouarsenis chain. It is mainly made up of ancient cedar formations at altitude; located in the semi-arid bioclimatic stage, there are also stands of holm oak, Zen oak and cork oak. Its territory covers an area of ​​3,424 ha. Its summit rises to 1,787 m and contains a series of picturesque sites and cliffs. Many animal species, such as hedgehogs, weasels, genets and numerous diurnal and nocturnal birds of prey, as well as a multitude of forest birds live there.
