World Post Day
Resulting from the reorganization of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications as part of the reform and modernization of the postal sector, Algérie Poste, governed by Law 2000-03 of August 5, 2000, establishing the general rules relating to post and telecommunications, and Executive Decree No. 02/43 of January 14, 2002, creating Algérie Poste, aims to be in line with its overall environment and sectoral policy. dictated by changing consumer needs and new information technologies. It was therefore necessary to design an image that marks this radical shift towards a new identity, without ignoring or sacrificing the heritage of the parent institution which has nourished the collective memory of the post office. Beyond the creation of a new logo, it is more about giving an expressive face which carries all the identity character of Algérie Poste. For this, the first choice fell on the colors: an accentuated yellow as a call color, supporting the visual identity, as well as an accentuated blue, supporting character and information. An acronym part composed of two visible parts, a marine form and another aerial, as well as a suggested part, in the shape of webs, expressing the three modes of service: sea, air and land. The two visible parts encourage a reading to another degree of the two palmures as the synthetic representation of two calligraphic letters: the “ba” and the “djim” for Barid El Djazaïr (in French: Algérie Poste). The text part is composed of a blue Arabic/Latin calligraphic block. The upper part in Arabic, in a dynamic receding form, indicates the word barid (post). The lower part, in justified alignment with the upper part, is in Latin language (Algérie Poste). The two parts juxtaposed in a distinctive alternation of colors (blue, yellow, blue) are carried by the unlimited surface of the call color (yellow), with a reserve area (white) for the acronym part in order to avoid a juxtaposition of colors and to reinforce the formal perception of it. This second part (text block), by its informational aspect, will be used in certain cases as a secondary logo or signature of Algérie Poste for reasons of convenience.
