Laurus nobilis – Laurel
From the Lauraceae family, the laurel, also called Apollo laurel, common laurel, noble laurel or laurel, is a perennial plant that can reach large sizes, depending on the soil in which it grows.
The parts used are the leaves and fruits, with digestive, antiseptic, balsamic, carminative and bechic properties. They are used in infusion, tincture, liquid extract and essence. popular for its use to flavor culinary preparations, bay leaf also provides an essential oil with a yield varying between 1% and 3%, the berries contain oil, used in perfumery to make toilet soaps. As for gasoline, it is used in the manufacture of many liqueurs.
