Is the most famous urban poet in the Western Maghreb. Known above all for his love poems, he also left very beautiful religious songs, including the most famous 'Medh el-rassoul' (hymn to the prophet). He enjoyed honors and success deserved by his talent. Died in 1768, he is buried in Tlemcen.
