Headquarters of Algeria Post
On January 14, 2006, Algérie Poste celebrated the fourth anniversary of its creation as a public industrial and commercial establishment (EPIC).
Resulting from the restructuring of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications following Law No. 2000-03 of August 5, 2000, Algérie Poste was created by executive decree No. 2002-43 of January 14, 2002.
Domiciled at the former headquarters of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications in Algiers, and whose offices are very cramped, Algérie Poste had to build a new headquarters to fulfill its missions and quickly develop its new activities. The EPIC Board of Directors decided on a building large enough to accommodate the activities of the company, resolutely focused on the future.
Located in Bab Ezzouar, about twenty kilometers from the center of Algiers, on an area of 6,025 m², near Houari Boumedienne international airport, this new headquarters is designed in the image of Algérie Poste, a large-scale company operating in a liberalized economic environment and ensuring both public service and services for an increasingly demanding clientele.
With a modern architectural design, glass and steel, with harmonious and light lines, and an imposing style, the new headquarters is an intelligent building, with curtain wall facades as modern materials, and a treatment in large mesh claustras, to recall Mediterranean and oriental styles. It is made up of a diamond-shaped block, allowing easy distribution on each floor and easy access to the various services and offices. This block, with a total surface area of 28,360 m², includes a building of sixteen (16) levels, distributed as follows:
- one (01) ground floor with areas reserved for reception areas, catering, etc.
- one (01) amphitheater with 400 seats;
- twelve (12) floors;
- three (03) basements reserved for car parks with 325 spaces.
This set of 435 offices is completed by modern facilities that meet the needs and comfort of employees and visitors.
