The Oran theater was built around 1883. The main entrance to the hall is served by three iron curtains. On the 1st floor three stained glass domes overlook the large steps. The center of the building is reserved for the performance hall, while its rear includes the stage and the backstage. At the far rear are the artists' dressing rooms and sound rooms. It became the property of the key commune of the city then in March 1963, the day after national independence, it was nationalized in the same way as all the other theaters in Algeria. It then became T.N.A of Oran then the National Theater of the Algerian West. The capacity of this theater is 600 to 650 seats. On November 14, 1972, theatrical decentralization was decreed. She thus came to consecrate the true birth certificate of the T.R.O.
