The Great Mosque of Nedroma, a town northwest of Tlemcen, belongs to the family of Andalusian-type mosques.
Rectangular in shape, the building is accessed through entrances located in the corners of the north wall, opening onto corners which extend on either side of the quadrangular courtyard. The square minaret, soberly decorated with arcatures, is located at the northeast corner of the courtyard.
Built by Youssef Ibn Tachfin around 1145, its architectural decoration is made up of brick, ceramic and sculpted marble. The constructed area is 566 m2 for a capacity of 1,300 worshippers.
