The 1939-1940 New York International Fair took place on the Flushing Meadows-Corona Park site, that is to say in the same place as the 1964-1965 New York International Fair which was organized 25 years later.
It was one of the greatest universal exhibitions of all time.
Many countries around the world participated, and more than 44 million visitors showed up over the two years.
The universal exhibition was organized around the theme of “The world of tomorrow”.
