Menyanthes trifoliata - Fess el maa
Belonging to the Gentianaceae family, the menyanthe can reach up to 40 cm in height. It has leaves and pink and white flowers, arranged in clusters. Its leaves are composed of 3 toothed, entire and oblong leaflets.
This plant is recognized for its digestive, depurative, tonic, febrifuge and emmenagogue effects. Its leaves are used to remedy lack of appetite or dyspepsia. They are also effective in overcoming overwork, asthenia, fever, sore spots, dermatosis and rheumatic pain.
