Ctenopharyngodon idella, commonly known as Grass Carp, Grass Carp, Love Carp (because it originates from the Amur River), White Love or Chinese Carp, is one of the five species of carp found in Asia (the others being the bighead carp, the silver carp, the mirror carp and the black carp).
