The flying galloping tank: Origin: Tamadjert (Tassili N'Ajjer)
Work referring to a world very different from the current one, the painted and engraved pre and protohistoric tank of the Saharan regions. Prestige machine of the dominant class, originating from the first Paleo-Berber Mediterraneans, whose appearance dates back to the so-called “Recent Bovidian” stage and then integrated into the social life of the Equidiates.
The figure represents one of the painted chariots of Tamadjert (Tassili n'Ajjer), two horses are represented at a "flying gallop". We notice that the post is fixed on the drawbar, in front of the guardrail and which could be used to attach the reins, the traction bar is clearly indicated.
The wheels are represented flat and offset in false perspective, which beyond the stylistic rigor, reveals great freedom on the part of the artist.
