This dance is responded to nationally. Only the expressions that the dancers hum called “siagh” (the formulas) are different from one region to another.
This dance takes on the character of the warrior and is performed to ensure the protection of villages and Ksours. A group of people gather together and form a circle. The participants equipped with rifles stuffed with powder perform dance steps on a determined choreography using the different percussion instruments mixed with the sound of the flute (Mizmar) in order to create a rhythmic pitch going with the movement of the members of the troupe, which becomes accentuated gradually and ends with the shooting or the collegial and unified launch of the Baroud.
