Famous journalist of the national liberation war Mohamed Aissa Messaoudi born May 12, 1931 in Oran, learned the Arabic language in Koranic schools before joining Zitouna in Tunis where he obtained the EL AHLIA diploma
In 1956, patriotic duty obliged him to join the ranks of the revolution where he participated alongside his companions in the launch of Sawt al Djazaïr (the voice of Algeria) on Radio Tunis, after which he joined the secret radio of the national liberation front known as “the voice of free Algeria” (sawt el djazair el horra). He returned to Tunis to lead the voice of Algeria (Sawt al Djazaïr) from Radio Tunis. His activity had an extraordinary impact on the morale of the troops of the National People's Army and the Algerian people through his deep, carrying and penetrating voice but also for his strident, angry reactions when it came to commenting on political events or military operations carried out by the Mujahideen on Algerian soil, a voice admitted by the late President El Houari Boumediene: "The voice of Aissa Messaoudi alone represented a wilaya of the willayas of the revolution »
After Independence, Aîssa MESSAOUDI held several positions. He was the first Director General of the RTA of independent Algeria, Director General of the daily ECHAAB. He was appointed Ambassador to several Arab and Asian capitals.
Aissa Messouadi died in 1994.
