Modernization of justice
With the aim of developing a rule of law, Algeria adopted a program of radical reform of the justice sector, this integral change affected the various judicial systems, the main axes of this reform is to modernize the justice sector through the integration of new information and communication technologies in order to bring the citizen closer to justice by optimizing effort and time.
In this context, a review of methodology and general restructuring was made, to make the technical solutions used effective, consistent with the nature of the judicial field and its specificities in order to ensure transparency and the proper functioning of the judicial service.
The sector has made a prodigious leap, using Information and Communication Technologies, particularly after the promulgation of Law No. 15-03, dated February 1, 2015, relating to the modernization of justice, which approved the use of the certification and electronic signature technique in the judicial field, thus allowing citizens to benefit from several remote judicial services, in addition, the adoption of highly developed mechanisms with the aim of to improve the performance of the public service par excellence, in particular the use of the biometric system for verifying the identity of the person.
