Gold bracelets - Tinhinan jewelry
The tomb of Tinhinan discovered in 1925 by a Franco-American archaeological expedition in Abalessa in the wilaya of Tamanrasset. Consisting of a well-preserved skeleton, coins, gold and silver jewelry, as well as funerary furniture. These sumptuous objects are preserved and exhibited at the Bardo National Public Museum in Algiers.
60 to 70 mm in diameter and 170 to 280 g in weight; on the left forearm of the Tinhinan skeleton are seven (07) open bracelets in solid gold, their decoration was practiced after casting and made with a chisel, composed of two motifs which are repeated all along the stem of the ring: balls, some of which present a slight flattening at the dorsal and ventral levels of the bracelet, they are interspersed with cylindrical sections each carrying four furrows.
