The 2nd Session of the Specialized Technical Committee on Social Development, Labor and Employment of the African Union

The 2nd Session of the Specialized Technical Committee on Social Development, Labor and Employment of the African Union is an opportunity to highlight the expected results of the implementation of programs and strategies, adopted under the aegis of the African Union, particularly in the areas of social development, employment and social security, social protection in general.
Main missions of the specialized technical committee (CTS):
Preparation of African Union projects and programs and submitting them to the Executive Council of the African Union.
Ensure monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of decisions taken by the organs of the African Union.
Tripartite composition of the committee (Governments, Workers and Employers).
Under the High Patronage of His Excellency the President of the Republic Mr. Abdelaziz Bouteflika, the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security in coordination with the African Union is organizing this session, under the Theme: “Investing in employment and social security to take full advantage of the demographic dividend”, during the period from April 24 to 28, 2017 at the Palais des Nations – Club des Pins- Algiers.
The delegations will be chaired by the Ministers in charge of Social Development, Labor and Employment of the Member States of the African Union.
