The Battle of Teskieft 1957

The brigade of the National Liberation Army composed of 500 mujahid, spread over three battalions, decided to ambush a French supply convoy, which left Constantine heading towards milia and jijel. However, the members of the brigade were distributed over a distance of 03 km north of the village Teskift, the enemy army was ambushed upon arrival of the village. At the end of this battle, 200 French soldiers were killed and a large number of wounded, two vehicles destroyed, and 27 mujahids fell on the battlefield.
