Pumpkins
The pumpkin is an annual plant belonging to the genus Cucurbita and the Cucurbitaceae family.
It is also the name of its large, orange-yellow fruit. In common language, the term pumpkin (squash of the species cucurbita pepo and the subspecies cucurbita pepo ssp.pepe) is often confused with pumpkin (squash of the species cucurbita maxima). They are, anyway, both squashes.
The pumpkin is โroundโ in shape and orange in color. Its peduncle is hard and fibrous, its flesh is stringy. The real pumpkin and zucchini are part of the same subspecies, several varieties of pumpkin exist in Algeria.
