Ali Ammar known as Ali la Pointe
Ali la Pointe was born on May 14, 1930 in Miliana, very young he worked in the settlers' fields because of poverty. With his father, Ali moved to Algiers in search of work. The family then moved to the Casbah where Ali had joined the Sports Boxing Club. It was at the prison that Ali la pointe joined the Liberation Front in 1955. After his escape from prison, he joined the commando network where he was entrusted with the mission of eliminating traitors from the city and assassinating the police and soldiers. In September 1957, the colonial authorities dismantled his network, and finally he fell in battle at the Casbah on October 8, 1957.
