Gaid Malika
Malika was born on October 24, 1933 in Temankach-Aït Yaala, into a poor family. She completed her primary and high school studies in Sétif. With success in the nursing competition in 1948; she had training which allowed her to work at the Kherata hospital in 1951 and Bougaa in 1952. Then, she joined the ranks of the Liberation Army in 1955; in Zone 3 where she treated wounded Mujahideen. Then, Malika was appointed to the medical team which had a mission during the Soumam congress. On June 28, 1958, Malika was martyred on the field of honor during attacks by the French army against a medical center located in the Yakourène forest.
