Ourida Meddad

Ourida was born on August 18, 1938 in Algiers. In 1947, she completed her primary studies and then joined the school of the Islamic association “Essabah” and finally the Professional Center. After the outbreak of the Revolution, she joined the commando network to transport explosive devices and intelligence. The heroine was arrested in August 1957, tortured by the colonial army until her martyrdom on August 29, 1957.
