Independence Day

After the declaration of independence, by the provisional government of the Algerian Republic on July 5, 1962, all the people came out to celebrate the event in the towns and villages; expressing, thus, his great joy at the recovery of national sovereignty which lasted for days and nights after 132 years of suffering and after the glorious revolution of November 1, 1954 which lasted more than seven and a half years during which the Algerian people sacrificed souls and everything they had that was very precious, and which generated more than a million martyrs, hundreds of thousands of disabled people, refugees and orphans.
