60th Anniversary of the Creation of the Bank of Algeria
On December 13, 1962, the Central Bank of Algeria was created.
December 13, 2022 is a historic date which represents 60 years of existence of the Central Bank of Algeria, now called Bank of Algeria.
In order to immortalize this event, it was decided to issue a commemorative stamp symbolizing the 60 years of existence through one of the activities of the Bank of Algeria, namely the issue of the Algerian currency, which represents one of the symbols of national sovereignty as well as a means of payment.
The Stamp consists of a first printing layer of the printing form of bank notes.
In the center of the stamp is the stylized number 60 representing 60 years of existence.
Around the number 60, a circular crown is made up of different coins issued and put into circulation during the 60 years.
On the right side of the crown are reproduced commemorative coins issued in gold, and on the left side commemorative coins issued in silver.
These gold and silver coins represent the depth of Algeria's history through the centuries.
