The Mushaf (Quran) of Algeria in Braille
In realization of the particular interest granted by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE to the category of people with specific needs - category of the blind, and in execution of the instructions issued during the Council of Ministers held on February 5, 2023, printing the Moushaf of Algeria in Braille, with the Algerian flag printed on it and bearing the words "To distribute free of charge", inside the country and outside, as well as as at the Paris Mosque, in order to benefit the Muslim community throughout the world; the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Wakfs has set out, through the commission for the authentication and verification of copies of the Holy Quran and the sub-committee dedicated to the blind, to authenticate and verify the Mushaf in Braille, developed on behalf of the said Ministry by Professor “Ms. Benna Messaoudi” in Braille and the Calligrapher Doctor “Mohamed Said Cherifi” in the version of Imam Nafi’ reported by Warsh.
The Mushaf of Algeria in Braille combines the normal writing of the Holy Quran and Braille writing.
The Moushaf of Algeria is printed in eight (8) parts:
First part: (From Surah Al-Fatihah to the end of Surah Al-Imran)
Second part: (From Surah An-Nissa until the end of Surah Al-An'am)
Third part: (From Surah Al-A'raf to the end of Surah Yunus)
Fourth part: (From Surah Houd to the end of Surah Al-Kahf)
Fifth part: (From Surah Maryam to the end of Surah Al-Shu'ara)
Sixth part: (From Surah An-Naml to the end of Surah Al-Saffat)
Seventh part: (From Surah Sad until the end of Surah Al-Qamar)
Eighth part: (From Surah Al-Rahman to the end of Surah Al-Nas)
The Mushaf of Algeria in Braille was revised by members of the commission for the authentication and verification of copies of the Holy Quran and the special subcommittee for the visually impaired, under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Wakfs.
