Ksar d’Azlouaz – Djanet
It is an ancient palace in the region whose name means 'time of the authentic' in Targui design. Located in the town of Djanet in the far south, it is notable for its architectural simplicity, appearing to be an enclosed urban fabric, with adjoining dwellings forming a wall surrounding the palace on all sides, while gardens and oases belonging to the palace's inhabitants surround it to the north, south and west. It is a sacred place for the people of the region due to its close connection with the Sbiba rituals, one of the most important traditions of the locals since ancient times. The preserved sector of the Azelouaz Palace was established and its boundaries defined in 2021.
