The mosque located in the center of the city of Blida is one of the most important historical and religious monuments in the wilaya. Its construction dates back to the 16th century, and it bears the name of its founder, Sheikh Ibn Saadoun Bin Mohammad Bin Baba Ali.

The mosque covers an area of approximately 258 square meters and can accommodate approximately 800 prayers. It is distinguished by its traditional architectural design, comprising four galleries and five rows of columns, crowned with capitals similar to those of the Bani Hammad fortress, which gives it a unique heritage character.

It has a unique square minaret, although this is not visible from the surrounding market due to the density of buildings and businesses surrounding it, thus obscuring part of its exterior features.

Architecturally, the mosque follows a simple style, without decorations, with the exception of the exterior facade of the minaret which bears original North African motifs, reflecting the identity and architectural authenticity of the region.
