Tribute to the Vietnamese People

After thirty years of resistance, the Vietnamese people can finally aspire to fully assume their national sovereignty. For this, he had to pay a heavy price in blood, mourning and tears. Never has the right to freedom of a people been so dearly acquired: a tonnage of bombs unprecedented in the history of humanity, four times more than during the Second World War, was dropped on Vietnamese territory, devastating the country, crushing human progress and sowing terror among the population, two million people of whom died.
With admirable stoicism, the Vietnamese people managed to overcome all the trials of this merciless war which was imposed on them. Over the years, the Vietnam War ended up capturing all human consciences and becoming the nightmare of humanity whose indignation, long suppressed, ended up being expressed in broad daylight through mass demonstrations across the world.
The entry into force of the ceasefire is a great moment in contemporary history. It is also a day of glory and hope for the triumphant peace-loving forces. Among them, the voice of Algeria was raised since independence for the just cause of the Vietnamese people.
