Algerian Grape Productions
Grapes are the improved fruit of the cultivated vine (Vitis vinifera). It is the second most cultivated fruit in the world (after the orange, see ranking). It appears in the form of clusters composed of numerous grains, which are botanically berries, small in size and light in color, the white grape (greenish, yellowish, golden yellow) or darker, the red grape (pink or black-purple).
It is mainly used for the manufacture of wine from its fermented juice (in this case we speak of wine grapes), but is also consumed as fruit, either fresh, the table grape, or dried, the raisin which is used mainly in pastry or cooking. We also consume fresh grape juice. Grapeseed oil is also extracted from the berries.
