Traditional Cuisine of Algeria-Tikourbabine
Tikourbabine (also known as Tikerbabine or Thikarvavines) is a traditional, hearty Berber dish originating from the Kabylie region of Algeria. It is a beloved winter comfort food consisting of large, heavily spiced semolina dumplings simmered in a rich tomato-based broth. This dish is highly celebrated for its aromatic use of wild mint and coriander, which give it a distinct herbal flavor. Depending on the specific village or dialect in Little Kabylie (such as Béjaïa), it is also referred to as Tiasbanine or Tasahlite.
