Djebel Amour carpet

Generally woven under the tent, the carpet of Jebel Amour (Aflou-El Bayadh) serves as a mattress and a blanket at the same time.
A particularity attracts attention in the technique of this weaving called frach: the reggam only knots the white points intended to trace the design.
The other phases of the work are carried out by the women seated behind the loom.
