Jasmine Jasminum
From the Oleaceae family, Jasminum, called white jasmine or fragrant jasmine, is native to southern Asia.
The white flowering takes place from May to October.
Jasmine is cultivated for the extraction by distillation of “concrète” used in perfumery.
Its plantation covers an area of 90 ha in the Blida region.
The processing of the flower, which takes place in the Chiffa and Blida factories, makes it possible to extract an annual quantity of “concrete” intended for export, varying from 8 to 10 quintals.
