Tchagra senegala cucullata
The remarkable fluted song of the telephone tschagra, beginning with very clear notes and continuing plaintively, reveals the presence of this long-tailed bird, as it hides in the very dense thickets.
Like the Senegalese, the tschagra telephone is a tropical species.
However, it is widespread in a narrow coastal strip of northern Algeria.
This insectivorous bird is so suspicious that we know very little about its habits.
It is often confused with the shrike.
