Rising or desert collar lark Eremophila bilopha
17 centimeters long and most often living in pairs, the horned lark is found in southern Algeria, on sandy terrain dotted with rocky islets.
The lightly tinted plumage has the following characteristics: the cheeks, chest and back of the forehead are black, the back and wings are pinkish brown, the rump, throat and the rest of the forehead are sandy white.
The nest, built at the foot of a tuft of grass, generally contains 2 to 4 eggs.
Laying begins in March.
