Hoopoe Upupa epops
Measuring approximately 27 centimeters long, this bird lives all along the coast in the north and in the Hoggar in the south.
It is characterized by a long, slightly curved beak and a pinkish tawny crest tinged with black that the bird wears on its head and which it can raise into a fan or fold depending on the circumstances.
The female most often builds her nest in a tree hole.
In spring, she lays 4 to 8 eggs of a solid color, but very variable.
If as the cold seasons approach, some individuals emigrate south, others may settle down.
