Amygoalus communis - Almond tree
The almond tree Amygdalus communis
Its flowering is the earliest of all fruit trees.
The white and pink flowers bloom long before the leaves appear on short branches from the previous year.
The flowering stage of the almond tree occurs throughout the month of February, which makes it very sensitive to winter frosts and late frosts in early spring.
The almond tree covers an area of approximately 35,000 ha and occupies regions with a favorable climate and soil such as Algeria (especially Médéa), Oranie and Constantinois.
