Jewelry - Anklet
There are two types. The oldest ones are narrowed in the central part, opposite the opening, and therefore higher on the edges.
The others are cylindrical. In the oldest, the decorations are essentially geometric. In the others, scrollwork and curved lines predominate.
The permanent element is the setting of large coral cabochons. Enameling is not used to decorate the main body. It is placed on either side of the hinges where the closing hook is hidden.
In this anklet, the body of the jewel has been decorated with incised motifs on lead. Between two serpentine lines, a decoration of foliage carrying volutes.
In the central area are set three coral cabochons. The closing hook is hidden by a place divided into three square registers.
The central register has an enameled cap in the middle. The other two are decorated with a coral cabochon. Silver beads are placed at the corners of the squares.
