The king butterfly or large corer Papilio machaon
In adults, the wing span varies between 70 and 90 millimeters.
At the level of the forewings, on a dark blue background, there are orange-yellow spots.
The hindwings each have a tail and a dark blue and red eyespot.
It flies almost all year round.
Its caterpillar develops on umbellifers, particularly on carrots and rue (Ruta graveolens).
