Tindi
Made from a tree trunk cut into a spindle on the outside, hollow on the inside, it is a domestic accessory or musical instrument depending on the circumstances.
The tindi, in fact, has a dual use: it can be used as a mortar in which certain cereals are ground with a pestle or can brighten up occasions of celebration.
To do this, simply cover the opening with a tightly stretched and wet camel skin which will be struck by the women, cheerfully and with their bare hands.
A particular instrument of the Tuaregs, the tindi symbolizes union and marriage.
